As we learn ever more about how the brain functions and about how environment and heredity and general health impacts on mental health, we find new mental health counseling practices being developed.
It is wrong to think we have all the answers and even now many mental health problems remain intractable to may therapies. Mental health counselling like any field of scientific and lay endeavour is in a state of evolution. The key for both practitioners and clients alike is to find what works for them.
